St John the Baptist
Church has a four-part choir that sings at the weekly services.
We are
always
on the
lookout for people
to swell the ranks and would be delighted to hear from anyone
who is interested in and enjoys singing.
We have a good music library with a wide range of choral music
from the 16th century to the present day.
On the first Sunday of the month the choir do not sing in
the morning but sing Choral Evensong at 6:30 p.m. (rehearsal
5:30 p.m.) instead. On all other Sundays we sing at the 10:30
a.m. Holy Communion service (rehearsal 9:30 a.m.).
We are looking at ways we may start doing some thing regularly
music for children and we welcome new ideas.
